Gabby Banzon - Denton, Texas

3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time - January 24, 2016 (PS 19:8, 9, 10, 15)

Chicago born and Atlanta grown, Gabby has been involved in music since childhood. Fully able both in an ensemble and on her own, Gabby plays piano, guitar, saxophone, and a bit of percussion. She grew up playing alto saxophone and piano in concert & jazz bands for school. She also played piano and guitar in worship teams for a charismatic Catholic family ministry called Couples for Christ-Youth.

Throughout college, Gabby continued to expand her range in music and ministry. She studied music therapy at Georgia College & State University while playing in jazz, rock, folk, and worship groups. She also collaborated in planning, managing, and hosting a variety of ministry events. She graduated with a degree in Music Therapy in 2014. In the same year, she worked as a missionary for Catholic Mission Trips, Inc. She released her first single, entitled "Open My Lips (Praise the Lord)," in the summer of 2015 and is now working on an EP with the help of Mercy Crew Publishing.

Currently, Gabby is pursuing a graduate degree at Texas Woman's University. She also works as a music therapist, graduate assistant, and freelance worship leader.
