I am a 23 year old, very passionate Catholic who loves to lead others in worship, art, and prayer! I'm a NET alum & am engaged to a youth minister & the best man I know. Just moved to St. Paul after graduating college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts & looking to plug in my gifts as best I can wherever the Lord leads me. I have been playing piano for 11 years and have been singing for 7. I write some of my own music and deeply love charismatic praise and worship. I also love teaching people to worship and youth ministry, as well as mentoring and discipling younger women in their lives and faith.

I often play with a friend of mine named Dusty Njaa. He lives in Moorhead, MN, but if there was ever an opportunity where he could drive up to join me in leading worship or playing, he totally would! He sings and plays guitar (extremely well).

Born and raised in Bel Air, MD, David has been involved in worship since 2010. Growing up, he was always involved at his parish whether it was alter serving, youth group as a teen, a confirmation catechist as a young adult, and eventually on staff for youth ministry. Simultaneously, David served on staff, both volunteer and paid, as a counselor at a Christian camp in Baltimore County for 6 years. There he led worship and camp music for elementary, middle, and high school aged youth.

During the '14-'15 school year, David served with NET Ministries in Plano, Texas. Through NET, he studied worship and how to lead others into an encounter with the Lord. While on mission, David led prayer meetings for his team daily, worship for the youth group, and parish wide adoration nights.

Currently David is a student at Franciscan University studying multimedia design under the Mass Communications degree. He is also charged with leading worship on Tuesdays for campus wide Praise and Worship nights.

Blessings in Christ! I'm a youth minister to fantastic high school and middle school youth in my Parish. I'm committed to lead others to Jesus by way of Momma Mary.

I lead worship at youth camps, family camps, Holy Hours, and women's retreats. I love praying with contemporary and traditional prayers in song. I also have quite a few prayers that originated from my journaling at Adoration. I love to share my original prayers, in hopes to bring closeness and healing from Jesus.

Megan Miller and Benjamin Valle are a worship leading duo based in the Chicagoland area. In addition to working in parish ministry, they are part of the founding team for Grounded Ministries, through which they have been leading worship and giving talks for various church events across the country and the world. Connect with us on social media @groundedmin.

About Megan...

I’m pretty into Jesus Christ, Crossfit, theology, tacos, and the Chicago Blackhawks. My favorite people in the world to hang out with are my family, but I also have been richly blessed with the best of friends. Outside of work, I can usually be found lifting weights, nerding out over theology, or laughing at dad jokes. My top two missions in life are to become a saint and to drink as much good coffee as possible along the way. I am the Co-Director of Evangelization & Catechesis at Saint Paul the Apostle Parish in Gurnee, IL, and have been profoundly impacted by the beauty and sheer awesomeness of the kids, teens, and families I get to work with there.

Megan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Ave Maria University and a Master's Degree in Liturgy from the Liturgical Institute of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake.

About Benjamin...

Growing up I wanted to be a circus clown mainly because I already had red hair and can juggle. Thankfully, God had other plans. I consider myself a minimalist, but not when it comes to tacos and coffee. My free time is typically consumed with water skiing, running, or attempting to learn a new musical instrument. I'm fascinated by books, but rarely make it past page fifty in any given one. Is sarcasm a language? If so, I'm definitely bilingual. I am the Coordinator of Faith Formation at Holy Cross Parish in Deerfield, IL where I am continually inspired by the teens and families I minister to each day.

Benjamin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Catechetics and Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville.

James & the Parishioners began as a ministry to serve the Clemson University Catholic Student Association after a few of us saw the need for a new and different form of worship than we already had at Clemson! A trip to Nashville and many doodled-on napkins later, a band was formed, a name had stuck, and James & the Parishioners was born!

After playing for a year and a half at the local church in Clemson, we decided that God was calling us to take our talents on the road and minister to people wherever He would send us. So that's what we did! When we aren't running Praise & Worship for the Clemson University CSA, or leading XLT Upstate in South Carolina, we're running around sharing our gifts and love for Christ with others!

At the heart of our ministry lies our love for Jesus Christ and His church, so we love to share that same love with everyone we meet - mostly through music! We really believe that music is one of the best ways to enter into prayer and worship, but don't just take OUR word for it, give it a try! We promise you won't be disappointed.

I'm Alex, a Catholic worship leader, liturgical musician, and singer-songwriter. I grew up just south of the Ohio River in Louisville Kentucky, and through a crazy journey with God I have found myself in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. If you had asked me 10 years ago what I would be doing today it most certainly would not be what I am currently occupying my time with, but God is funny like that!
While I grew up Catholic, it wasn't until I got to college that I had a major conversion and started living like it. In college I discovered my voice and picked up a guitar for the first time, but music has been a part of my life since I was little. I began singing at the student Mass at St. Leo Catholic Church (the local parish near my university) and was blessed to have the role of music director there for my last 2 years of school. At the same time, during the summers I was working at a youth camp (Gasper River Catholic Youth Camp and Retreat Center) where I encountered praise and worship for the first time in the Catholic world. My final summer on staff at Gasper River I was the music lead, which had me leading music and worship pretty much every day.
Following my college studies, I spent a year in NW Indiana as an environmental educator and assisted with music at a local parish. During that year the Lord asked me to serve His church as a full-time missionary and with that I found myself searching google for opportunities to make that happen. Thus I found myself working for a college campus ministry (Saint Paul's Outreach [SPO]) at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus for 2 years. During my time with SPO I was given the role, which I have dubbed, of music ministry coordinator, where I was leading a small team of student musicians in learning the art of worship leading and actually providing the music for various events SPO hosted. I was also asked to take the reins of directing one of the 4 Masses that happened at the local Newman Center Parish (St. Lawrence).
Now I find myself still in the Twin Cities area serving the Lord and His church, just under a different title (Director of Youth Ministry). Through the years I have come to know the deep and personal love of Jesus Christ and seek to share that love with others, particularly through the gift of music and worship. Thank you for your time and know of my prayers for each and every one of you! God Bless!

Rachel Burkey was born in Charlottesville, VA, and eventually rooted herself in Music City USA, Nashville, TN. Although her mother and father were both in the medical profession, her mom was also a talented pianist and vocalist and quickly encouraged Rachel to start piano. This is where the love story all began.

Rachel studied classical piano for 14 years under several instructors, including Randall Faber, creator of the Faber Piano Series. As her passion for music grew, she also began classical vocal instruction under Marcia Jones Thom, who is currently a vocal professor at Sweet Briar College and Randolph College in VA. She also studied voice under Nicole Philibosian at Interlochen School of Music.

Her repertoire spans from operatic arias, such as "Che faro senza Euridice?" from Orfeo ed Euridice to jazz and country. In addition to piano and voice, Rachel also has pursued the guitar in recent years and is self-taught. Rachel has performed extensively in all different genres, but some of the highlights have been singing in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, being a soloist in Vivaldi's Gloria with members of the Nashville Symphony, singing in the Nashville Symphony Chorus, and leading the worship for the Saint Henry School Faith Rally with good friends, Greg Walton and Bill Bleistine.

Although her passion is writing her own genre of music, Rachel also loves to write liturgical music. Her focus is to capture the meaning and reverence of the text in a contemporary setting that will encourage participation among all age groups. Her music has been used in several parishes around the country. Along with her liturgical music, Rachel writes music that combines contemporary Christian and folk. Her inspiration stems from her own personal experiences and her travels in the United States and abroad. Rachel received her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, in German Language and Literature and also received her Masters of Arts in Learning and Teaching with a focus in music education. She currently resides in Cleveland, OH, teaching theology and acting as a Lifeteen Music Director for one of the diocesan parishes.

I am a worship leader based out of Baltimore, Maryland where I work as the IT Director at Church of the Nativity.  I grew up serving in the church, leading worship for student programs and other events.  In addition to regularly worshipping at masses on the weekends, I am equipped to lead worship for other events such as prayer services, adoration, and conferences, either solo or with a band.  I love writing and recording music - I am always working on creating new musical projects, or experimenting with gear!  I am especially excited about a project I am starting in 2017 called “Songs for Prayer” where I will be releasing an instrumental song every month that is intended to accompany prayer.

I have a desire to bring people closer into their relationship with Christ through the power of worship and music, and I pray that through my ministry they may encounter His love in life-changing ways.

Michael attended Catholic school in his younger years, and the music teacher there helped him find his voice and his calling in music in the Church. During these years of Catholic school, Michael fell in love with leading the church as a cantor for the school masses. In high school, he picked up a guitar and his love for leading worship grew even stronger so he became part of the LIFE TEEN band which lead teens to a deeper call to worship and relationship with God.

Currently Michael serves as the LIFE TEEN Music Minister at Holy Martyrs Church in Medina, OH. He regularly serves as a worship leader at a local young adult ministry with Matt Fafrak called – First Fridays at Francis. It is a night of praise & worship and Adoration for young adults and all ages. You can check out more about it on their facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/firstfridaysf3/

He is also on staff at a local non-denominational church as a worship leader. He loves to worship in the Catholic Liturgy and the Christian church, and it helps him to become a better steward for faith, and a better worship leader. He also writes for his blog and creative arts ministry called praise habit. He and his wife, Sarah contribute to this ministry to help bring a better understanding of worship, and give others a glimpse to what a worship lifestyle looks like. You can learn more about it on his website, https://www.praisehabit.com

Overall, his passion is to see people in the Cleveland area encounter Jesus through the gifts of music and worship God has given him. He lives in Lyndhurst (a Cleveland suburb) with his wife (Sarah) and his son (Liam).
